British Rail in New York

My daughter discovered this bell in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. Now what on earth was it doing there?! I looked rather longingly at it during a visit. It worked. Imagine my delight on opening my 60th birthday present. It had crossed the Atlantic and returned home. It makes a great sound and is in good company even if the station is a long way away. I like bells with a story! As a postscript, the last time my daughter came here I sent her back with the first bell I ever bought from Cornille Havard in France. It now resides in Dallas. I hope to see it again soon.
