Communion bell

I bought this bell from someone who described it as a communion bell. He claimed that a priest told him it had been used in a church for over 100 years. I could get no more information - certainly not the name of the church. So this will remain the story. A bell used during services is more commonly known as a sanctus bell, although there are several other names in use. This type of bell is also called a muffin bell used most typically in the USA as a warning bell. This is a small bell - the diameter is some 3 inches and the length is 8 inches.
